Description
The reading of measurements from a linear scale, as is done on conventional instruments, has been shown to be neither as reliable nor as speedy as those taken from a number counter.
The "Harpenden" range of anthropometric instruments, which have been developed in close collaboration with the University of London Institute of Child Health, are counter recording and they give accurate and direct readings to the nearest millimeter. "Harpenden" instruments are so effortless in operation as to make possible control of measurement unrealizable with conventional anthropometric instruments.
The "Harpenden" Stadiometer is a counter recording instrument, with an effortless counter balanced movement.
It will give an accurate and direct reading of a subject's height, to the nearest millimeter over a range of 600 mm to 2100 mm.
Specification
The main frame of this instrument is rigidly made of light alloy angle and provided with adjustable wall brackets for mounting purposes. The Stadiometer head-block operates via miniature ball-bearing rollers to ensure movement which is free yet without cross-play. This should not be moved faster than 5cm/sec
The Stadiometer is fitted with a Hengstler counter.
All metal parts have a silver/grey hammer finish.
